High Street Books is an independent book and music shop in the heart of New Mills village in High Peak, Derbyshire. I took a visit here on one of my Northern village escapades and it was so perfect. I was greeted by the smell of old books and a cup of coffee whilst I browsed. They have a huge selection of books from every genre. I left with a selection of D.H. Lawrence's poems, a book about feminism in cinema and George Orwell's Animal Farm.

This place is a delight! I love me a quaint shop filled with old books and records. Second hand is my favourite.
